Welcome to Méra Market! The terms “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Méra Market, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. Méra Market operates this online store and website (the “Services”), powered by Shopify, to provide you with a curated shopping experience.

By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”), together with our [Privacy Policy] and [Refund & Return Policy]. If you do not agree, please do not use our Services.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

By using this website, you confirm you are 18+ and legally allowed to do so.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information (billing, delivery, and payment details).c
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
Account data is processed in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and stored on Shopify’s secure servers. This may include cross-border processing as required for Shopify’s global infrastructure.

2. Products & Availability

We specialize in Greek and Cypriot food products imported into the UAE.
Product descriptions, images, and packaging are for reference only and may differ from the actual items, as required under UAE consumer protection guidelines.
All product availability, pricing, and descriptions are subject to change without notice.
Since products are imported foodstuffs, storage, shelf-life, and packaging changes might take place.
We may limit sales by region, quantity, or customer, as permitted by UAE law.
Even though our products are non-perishable, imported food items can still experience changes in packaging, shelf-life, or storage characteristics, and such variations shall not constitute a defect.

3. Orders & Acceptance

By placing an order, you make an offer to purchase. We reserve the right to accept or decline any order.
An order is confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
If we are unable to fulfill your order, we will notify you and issue a refund where applicable.
In case the order is rejected, the customer will be informed in a quick way as needed according to the UAE consumer rules.

4. Prices, Taxes & Billing

All prices are shown in UAE Dirhams (AED).
We are not currently registered for VAT. Prices do not include VAT, and VAT will only be applied once Méra Market becomes VAT-registered, in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
Additional charges (e.g., shipping, handling, customs for deliveries outside UAE) may apply.
You confirm that you are authorized to use your chosen payment method.
All billing and payment information is processed in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), including for refunds, chargebacks, or payment-related inquiries.

5. Shipping & Delivery

We deliver across the UAE. Delivery times shown at checkout are estimates and not guaranteed.
We are not liable for delays due to courier disruptions, customs, or force majeure events.
If the customer is unavailable at the time of delivery, any delays, failed delivery attempts, re-delivery fees, or return-to-sender charges are the customer’s responsibility.
Méra Market is not responsible for any loss, delay, or additional cost arising from incorrect delivery information provided by the customer.

6. Refunds & Returns

Food products are considered non-returnable goods under UAE Consumer Protection Law.
Refunds can only be offered if an item is received in a damaged, defective, or expired condition.
You must notify us within 24 hours of delivery and provide a clear photo of the affected item by email at contact@themeramarket.com.
Approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 7–10 working days.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Services (logos, text, images, designs, trademarks) belongs to Méra Market or our licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, or use any intellectual property without written permission.

8. Third-Party Tools & Links

Our Services may link to third-party websites or tools. We are not responsible for their accuracy, availability, or security.
Use of third-party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
Third-party service providers and partners must comply with UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) when handling any personal data related to our Services.

9. Relationship with Shopify

Méra Market is powered by Shopify, but all transactions are between you and Méra Market.
Shopify is not responsible for orders, deliveries, or disputes.

10. Privacy

Personal data collected through the Services is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy , which complies with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 (PDPL).

11. User Content & Feedback

If you submit reviews, feedback, or suggestions, you grant us the right to use them for commercial purposes.
You confirm you own the rights to any content you provide.
If your submission contains personal information, it will be processed and stored in accordance with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL).

12. Errors & Omissions

Occasionally, information on the Services may contain errors (e.g., pricing, availability).
We reserve the right to correct errors and cancel or update affected orders.

13. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Services for:

Fraud or unlawful activity.
Unauthorized resale of products.
Uploading harmful code or disrupting the site.
Any action violating UAE laws or regulations.
Access or interfere with our systems in breach of PDPL or security measures.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account for violating these Terms.
Termination does not affect any outstanding obligations, including payments.
Upon account termination, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and retained in line with UAE PDPL requirements.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services and products are provided “as is” and “as available.”
Except as required by UAE Consumer Protection Law, we make no guarantees on quality, accuracy, or suitability.
Nothing in this clause limits or restricts your mandatory consumer rights under UAE law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by UAE law, Méra Market is not liable for indirect or consequential damages (e.g., loss of profits, data).
These limitations do not apply where prohibited under UAE Consumer Protection Law.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Méra Market, Shopify, and affiliates against claims arising from misuse of the Services or breach of these Terms.

18. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sharjah, UAE, where Méra Market is registered.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as needed for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons.
Updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
If changes affect the processing of personal data, users will be notified in accordance with UAE PDPL requirements.
